Original batteries lasted over 5 years. No problems with tools or charge. I think for simple uses the 18V is a great way to go.

We have several B&D tools that take these batteries. Over the years, I've been a bit underwhelmed by their longevity. The ENDURANCE (how long they last on one charge) is pretty fair. But within a couple of years they fade, and fade quickly. B&D doesn't offer good lithium ion batteries that fit. Indeed, the lithium batteries they DO offer (in other sizes) have gotten universally terrible reviews, so I wouldn't buy them, even if they WERE available. So we're stuck with these batteries...unless we decide to replace six perfectly good B&D tools with Craftsman C3 tools (Craftsman lithium batteries are very good). Too bad. ANYWAY, if you need to buy these batteries, this is the best price I've found for them.

I used this attached to my leaf blower. It holds a charge for a long time and is very powerful thus far. My old battery didn't last long at all.

Do you have a Lithium battery that can replace the Nicad batteries for longer run times. This would be for the Black and Decker NS118 Leaf Blower?
