Although missing the Oomph of a corded or gas unit, this performs admirably well for a cordless trimmer. IT works very well for trimming grass and light edging, switching between both with ease. Love the auto line feed! I use this as part of my yard grooming routine, trimming around trees, posts, sprinkler heads and touch-up edging on my 3/4 acre lot. Carry the 2nd battery with you for uninterrupted work, and expect some struggle if you're trying to mow down thick stalk weeds or full edging. (I have the Edge Hog corded edger for that).

The most valuable feature of this trimmer is the 18v battery. I now have 4 different B&D tools that use the same battery: 2 drills, hedge trimmer, chain saw and now a weed trimmer. I am never without a charged battery or recharger.
