No gas, no pull start, light weight and easy to use - just grab and go.
If heavy usage is probable - get a spare battery, otherwise - doo some today, charge and do the rest tomorrow.

This is perfect if you have other compatible B&D 18v tools. I did and it gave me three batteries to work with. Each one lasts about 30 min. If you are cutting branches 2-3 inches or less, this is the tools for you. I've cut several 6-8 in. but a gas powered chainsaw would be a better choice if that's your primary use. I love it. It's light-weight and I can carry it anywhere on my 10 acres without any trouble.

I borrowed the alligator version - NLP1800B - from my friend and liked it so much I decided to buy it. Could not find it reconditioned but saw this one and got it. Just as good as NLP1800B and if you're reaching you only need one hand. Great for lopping branches/trees that are 1"-4" thick. Maybe works well on bigger trees but I'd use my gas chainsaw for big stuff. Very lightweight and easy to use. Battery lasts 1/2 hour or so depending on thickness of cuts and how fast you cut.

This product worked great to cut the tree that I bought the saw to trim back. I'm sure that I'll only use it a couple of times a year for pruning, and it's a perfect product for that. I have a number of 18v batteries from other B&D items so battery life isn't a problem. I recommend this saw for minor once or twice a year use.

Saw works great. Each battery last about an hour to a little more than an hour depending on the sie of trees and brush you cut. My model doesn't have onboard oiling like the ads say. The black button on top of the handle isn't there, it's just an orange thumb mark built into the plastic handle. Oiling the chain is a little hastle, but that's the only downfall of this chainsaw. You have no way of knowing which model you get when buying online. [@] sells them for [$] and it has onbaord oiling. The black button on the handle is seen on the box. Cuts fine. Will cut 6-8 inch trees or logs if you know what your doing. Great fpr tree trimming, brush cutting, or cutting fire wood.

After two charge-discharge cycles it stands up pretty good for light prunning and brush clean up. Has a little more vibration than other electrics I have, however, glad I bought it.
