Best price I found
We have several B&D tools that take these batteries. Over the years, I've been a bit underwhelmed by their longevity. The ENDURANCE (how long they last on one charge) is pretty fair. But within a couple of years they fade, and fade quickly. B&D doesn't offer good lithium ion batteries that fit. Indeed, the lithium batteries they DO offer (in other sizes) have gotten universally terrible reviews, so I wouldn't buy them, even if they WERE available. So we're stuck with these batteries...unless we decide to replace six perfectly good B&D tools with Craftsman C3 tools (Craftsman lithium batteries are very good). Too bad. ANYWAY, if you need to buy these batteries, this is the best price I've found for them.

So far so good. Great product.
I used this attached to my leaf blower. It holds a charge for a long time and is very powerful thus far. My old battery didn't last long at all.

Best Price around
I use this product with my Black & Decker line trimmer. I have a small yard which takes about 20 minutes to trim, battery has plenty of juice. Battery is light so added weight to trimmer is minimum. Can get more than two summers of performance.

Great Value
Excellent value even a full price. On sale - they are great. Batteries are fresh, charge quickly and hold power. About an hour of heavy weed eating or 45 minutes of serious bush trimming (with the hedge trimmer). Charge tine was about an hour to show full from 1 LED discharge level.

good batteries
I am just replacing my like batteries from 2008/2009. So they last that long with weekly use. I keep lots of batteries and always have them charged on the fast chargers. I use 8 tools or yard equipment implements that run on this system. It is great not having cord or gas engine issues.

Can one leave the battery on charge indef. so you can have a good battery when you need it???
Nancy on May 12, 2016
It depends on the charger you have. The basic charger (black, about an inch and a half square, with no LED) should be disconnected after about 12 to 18 hours. I think that it charges all the time and may shorten the life of your battery if always left on while plugged in.
The step-up charger is about the same size, but has an LED light that changes color or goes off when the battery is fully charged. That is the one I like to use and I generally take it off the battery when it shows charged just to be conservative.
The top-of-the-line battery charger is much bigger and has several features. I cannot speak to that one because I have never used it.
I do keep all my batteries charged up all the time (except when using them). I believe they last longer and will work better if not sitting around discharged. It is easy to do, just pay attention and unplug them when charged (or after 18 hours on the charger).
I hope this information is helpful!
I have 24 V battery but want to know if a 18 V battery will fit and work on the Black & Decker weedeater
Al on Apr 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have used an 18V B&D battery (2 came with my B&D blower) with my B&D weed eater (24V batt came with it ) for several years. The sales rep at the B&D outlet store said it was no problem. He also said the 18V batt would not last as long as the 24V in the weed trimmer-he was correct about that.
Will this battery work with my B&D 20V Matrix drill? Would it use the same charger?
Katelyn on Apr 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, the 18v batteries are not compatible with 20v tools and vice versa
I have a Black & Decker weed Eater. The two batteries I got with it didn't seem to last very long. I got maybe Three summers out of them. Will these new replacement batteries last longer? The weed Eater
is good if the batteries were better.
BEST ANSWER: The run time will probably be fairly similar. The life of the battery may or not be better than your previous batteries. The life of a battery varies based on working conditions, the amount of times you recharge the battery and the weather conditions within your region
